China, Qing Dynasty, 1887: Attractive marbled Stone with 3 characters engraved: He wei gui – 和为贵( Peace is the most precious. A term used by Confucius, from the Analects ). The seal has been carved by the famous seal carver Zi Hou, who’s seals are treasured among collectors.
Very beautiful Shou Shan stone, marbled.
