China Qing Leisure Seal, Shou Shan with Landscape, by Pan Zhengwei 潘正炜
Nice, old Chinese seal made of yellow-brown Shou Shan – Stone from the later Qing-Dynasty. Engraving of a landscape scene with 2 scholars. The shades of the stone have been well used – impression of mist over the bridge. 4 characters as actual seal: Li Zi Suo Wan (李子所玩).
Carving with the name of the seal carver, the well known and important seal carver Pan Zhengwei ( 潘正炜 1821-1861).
潘正炜 (清)字季彤,号听颿楼主人,道光、咸丰(1821—1861年)间番禺(今广州)人。精鉴别,富收藏书、画。著听颿楼集贴、听颿楼书画记、听颿楼续刻书画记。印章有【季彤审定】(明清书画印鉴)
