Qing Dynasty: Most attractive brushpot, made of heavy, dark rosewood, Zi Tan. Signed Wu Duming, 1844.
Diameter 5,5 inches (14 cm), height 6,2 inches (16 cm), weight 1,5 kg (!)
Carved at the front side are 2 warriors in heavy armor and a standard bearer. At the reverse a longer text in neat Xing-Shu is
engraved.
Very attractive brushpot, a really eye-catcher.
